As the host family to an exchange student, your biggest responsibility is to be a parental figure to the student while he/she is in your care. This may be the first time the student has traveled out of his country or the longest she has ever been away from her parents. The student should be welcomed into your safe, loving home as a member of your family.
It is also the host family’s responsibility to make sure the exchange student participates in the scheduled group activities throughout the program. Review the Student Activity Schedule (updated 17 October 2015) and take note of a few extra special dates:

Orientation and Welcome Reception for students and families
Saturday, November 14 – Sunday, November 15
Free weekend for students to spend with host family
Saturday, November 21
Students depart for Taiwan from CVG airport
